I’ve worked in the field of ECE as an Early Childhood Educator, Inclusion Support Person, Director and for the past 6 years, as the Lead Instructor for the Indigenous Focused Early Childhood Educator Diploma Program at Louis Riel College with the MMF (Manitoba Metis Federation).

Michele and I worked together at an Early Learning and Child Care program for 5 years and not only did I learn a lot but I really enjoyed going to work. It feels wonderful to work with someone who shares your philosophy on childhood and your passion for the field.

Michele is a fierce advocate for children and families and will not back down until they get what they need.

She develops authentic, unique and meaningful relationships with each child. She leads by example, is gentle, empathetic and loving. She knows what matters and it is consistently demonstrated through her genuine interactions with both children and parents alike.

The environment she creates and maintains is welcoming, comfortable and home-like. It is filled with natural and interesting materials and creates a serene space that invites children to explore at their own pace in their own way.

The many families who come back year after year, with each of their children, is a testament to the exceptional care and phenomenal early childhood education that she offers. She has always ensured each individual’s needs are met and that everyone gets what they need to learn, grow and feel that they matter.

If my children were still young, I would absolutely have them spend their days with Michele and know, without a doubt that they’d feel loved, would have fun and would thrive with her guidance.
